Last week the Prime Minister made clear that under this management Australia would be far better off if certain industries just went away and silently died. For instance the multibillion dollar wind power industry – and the entire renewable energy sector. … Abbott’s comments should be seen as part of a recent trend by ministers to seemingly antagonise without basis. … It should be expected that when ministers, and especially the Prime Minister, speak, it is with an authority of knowledge. Otherwise, their words should be seen as straws in the wind. We deserve better, Prime Minister.
